I am very appreciative that I worked as a psychologist and director at several community mental health centers when they were not broken. When the person/client/consumer was the focus and when we had a comprehensive team to help them work toward or maintain a satisfied independent functioning level. The present system is very broken and could have been predicted by any mental health provider with 10 or more years of experience.
